About Us
Introduction
My name is Michael DuRant. I moved to Colorado in 1999 with the dream of learning how to build my own log home. My first job here was peeling house logs. Since then I have been lucky enough to work with and learn from many skilled craftsmen. After years working and learning how to build log shells and trusses I was introduced to timber framing. Early on I was very fortunate to be able to work with Steve Rundquist of Brewster Timber Frame Company. Steve is a great craftsmen and a patient teacher. It has been an awesome working relationship and we still collaborate as often as possible.

Craftsmanship
I feel comfortable saying that any carpenter who decides to do log and timber work has made a commitment to take his skill set to another level. Due to the value of the material being used and the time invested in each piece a more thoughtful approach is necessary. With these things in mind I also feel it is safe to say that we who do this type of work love what we do.
Beauty thru Simplicity
Whether it be my lifestyle, building style or business model it is my ultimate goal.
